THANKS COACH!
We are extremely lucky to have the MOST INCREDIBLE coaches. To say they go the extra mile would be an understatement.
From arriving extra early (often before the sunrise) to staying late. Running extra miles - and extra hills - to check-in, provide motivation and entertain with stories and songs. Toting water, snacks and salt tabs across town to keep their runners fueled.
Encouraging walk breaks, rest stops, side trips to the playground and photo ops to make long runs more fun. Massaging cramps and giving tips on the best way to stretch & foam roll. Programming wall sits and assault bike rides for what seemed like eternity because it makes runners stronger physically and mentally. Never leaving their runners behind.
Above all, we love how they unselfishly share their love and passion for the run and their runners. Running may seem like a solitary sport, but the best coaches are with their runners every step of the way even if it’s just in spirit. And when you are running 13.1 or 26.2 miles, you need all the support you can get to help you through the lows and celebrate the high’s.
To all of our coaches, but especially our half and full marathon coaches who just helped nearly 100 runners conquer the streets of Hartford (and achieve some awesome PR's!) this past weekend, THANK YOU for an incredible season of training. You are amazing!
