The New Paint
KARHU built the Ikoni using data from 100,000 scans generated on our 3D foot imaging platform. Engineers then averaged the data points and designed countless iterations before landing on the closest-to-custom running shoe ever. Introducing the freshly painted KARHU Ikoni. Now in black.
KARHU wasn’t finished with the paint brush after the Ikoni. The Finnish running shoe brand also touched up its popular Fusion to give you a new color palette for spring.
The Shoemakers: KARHU's
History You Never Knew
I recently had the privilege of visiting the Karhu Design Studio in Asolo, Italy with members of the Karhu and Fleet Feet leadership teams. It was such an amazing experience to witness first hand both the design process and what goes into the making of a shoe. As part owner of Fleet Feet Pittsburgh, it gives me much pride that Karhu running shoes are exclusive to Fleet Feet stores nationwide. I hope you enjoy the following video.
Take a peek under the hood in our short documentary, The Shoemakers, and peek inside the making of the Ikoni. Using our 3D imaging platform, we sent more than 100,000 foot scans to KARHU, and they crafted a shoe designed for optimal fit.
