Are you... Ready for it?!

 

Shake it off and lace up your shoes because this week, we're running wild and free. As Taylor Swift once said, 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,' with our old limits and doubts. So, let's leave them behind as we hit the pavement, 'Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play, and the runners gonna run, run, run, run, run.'

 

In the spirit of Taylor's empowering lyrics, let's channel our inner 'Fearless' and show the world what we're made of. 'Out of the Woods,' we'll conquer each mile, 'believing' in ourselves every step of the way. Remember, 'It's a Love Story' between us and running, and together, we'll 'Begin Again' every time we tie our shoelaces.

 

So 'Shake It Off' if you stumble, 'Wildest Dreams' await us at the finish line. 'Don't Blame Me' if you catch a case of the running bug—it's contagious, and we're in it together. 'Long Live' the joy of running, the camaraderie we share, and the memories we'll create on this journey.

 

Let's 'Run the World' like the champions we are, because with Taylor's words echoing in our hearts, there's no limit to what we can achieve. Get ready to run with 'Style' and 'Love Story' in every stride. Here's to an incredible run ahead—swift and strong. On your marks, get set, go!

 

 

In all seriousness, welcome to the first week of the fall training season!

 

We look forward to working with you over the next 16-weeks to help you achieve your goals for the season.

 

As a reminder, our first workouts are on the following days & times:

  • Tuesday, June 27 at 6 pm at the Blue Ash & Fifty West locations
  • Wednesday, June 28 at 6 pm at the Oakley & Newport locations

Each week the workouts will be held on the following days & time:

  • Tuesdays @ 6 pm at the Blue Ash and Fifty West locations
  • Wednesdays @ 6 pm at the Oakley and Newport locations
  • Saturdays @ 7 am at all four locations

You are welcome to attend at any of the four locations at any point during training -- no need to ask, just show up! 

 

If you are training out of the Oakley location, keep in mind there is no parking available in the store's lot. You will need to utilize street parking (Madison Rd, Brotherton, Brazee, etc.), MadTree's lot or Crossroads main lot. 

 

Need a make up option for the weekly long run, then join the Sunday Runners Group. They meet at a variety of coffee shops throughout the city. Click here for more information & to be added to the weekly email list. **Please note, this run does not include Pace Group Leaders and is a bit more casual -- but still a great time!

As a company, Fleet Feet Cincinnati is looking to reduce our carbon footprint. One of the ways we are looking to do so is to limit our amount of waste with the Training Program & we are asking for your help!  

 

While all of our routes will be fully supported with Aid Stations, we are cupless. This means that each aid station will have plenty of water but you will need to carry your own hydration vessel. This might be a reusable cup, handheld water bottle, waist belt, or a vest. 

 

Another way is by asking you to toss a reusable coffee mug in your run bag to use after the Saturday morning workouts instead of the single use cups.

The first phase of training is the ALL ABOUT THAT BASE phase. 

 

No matter the distance, base training is the foundation of any well-devised training plan.

 

For any structure to be strong and durable its foundation needs to be the first thing built. A weak foundation will lead to a fragile structure that could eventually breakdown (aka lead to injury).

 

This is why we take the first 5 weeks of training to focus on your base. We will explain more of the benefits as training progresses.
