Happy Valentine’s Day! Each year when we develop the Fit For Life Physical Therapy Marathoner In Training Education Series, we save Dr Bright’s talk regarding heart rate guided training for February’s American Heart Month and, of course, Valentine’s Day weekend.
Heart disease is still the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States. Every year, one in four deaths are caused by heart disease. We are proud of you for doing your part to avoid heart disease by adopting a running or walking program with Marathoner In Training.
Many of our runners have improved their training programs, advanced their fitness, and lowered their personal record times by using heart rate guided training. This week’s presentation by Dr Bright and article by Dave & Sean are specifically geared around helping you learn more about heart rate guided training.
This Saturday at our MIT training site (Fit For Life Physical Therapy at Fleet Feet Lewis Center at 7:00 AM), please join our Medical Director and MIT Coach, the Run Doc, Dr Darrin Bright for his great presentation titled “Heart Rate Guided Training for Endurance Athletes.” As a preview, please read Dave Calvert and Sean Huffman’s article about why to heart rate train.
