Heart Rate Guided Training
|
This week the RunDoc, our own Dr Darrin Bright returns with a great hour on Heart Rate Guided training. If you have been training for more than a season or two without improving your personal record, you should strongly consider listening to this talk and adopting a heart rate guided training program.
To learn more about Heart Rate Guided training, please join us at FrontRunner in Worthington this Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 6:00 a.m. We’ll be done with a few minutes to hit the restroom one more time and find your pace group.
Just in case you’re not yet convinced that Heart Rate Guided training is for you, please let Dave Calvert and Sean Huffman make the point even more clear, check out their article here!

Why Heart Rate Training?
Most runners tend to run according to how they feel. If you feel good, you will push the pace. This is a recipe for over-training and/or possible injury. Heart Rate Guided training will allow for endurance gains and proper recovery between runs.
